Virtual Worlds Forum Europe - with ten days to go I just thought I'd give you an update of where we are with the event, expo and party nights...

So what've we got?

Well, hundreds of people signed up to the best virtual worlds show in London, 100+ speakers, great keynotes from EA, Jagex (who you hardly ever see speak), lots of cool sponsors and exhibitors. And great networking.

We like to party, and we know our delegates do, so you get a four day pass to the Hospital Club, the private members club for the creative industries, PLUS opening night party hosted by our friends at SXSW (you have to register quick to get on the guest list for that) and closing night party hosted by Sony Playstation. It's a party week.

And all delegates get three great benefits when they sign up - apart from the Hospital Club pass you get a 3 month subscription to FT.com, plus a complimentary copy of a in-depth Gartner Research report.

We've quite some press list, so you'll get to read all about it, but if you're into the business aspects of virtual worlds and online games, we're the place to be.

Detailed programme launched today

Today we're very excited to launch our 9 page programme - you can download the PDF here. You know that we take content seriously, and having spoken to hundreds of participants, we hope we've developed a four-track programme that reflects the current interests of the virtual worlds and online games community, as well as the requirements of brands and enterprises. With nearly 100 speakers, a great demo and keynote theatre, and more announcements still to come, it's looking good.

Registration is easy - just go here to register.

URGENT! VWF is rescheduled.

Early this morning there was an unrelated incident at the venue in which a member of the public was shot. The police have closed off the venue for three days, which means that we cannot use it for Virtual Worlds Forum.

With less than day to go, we cannot find an alternative venue over these dates. So we have taken the very difficult decision to reschedule the event.

What it means for you is
1) The event will not take place as planned on Monday and Tuesday.
2) For those people who are in London, the Four Day members pass to the Hospital is still available. Please go to 24 Endell St, London, WC2H 9HQ to collect your pass – there’s quite a few people in town, so lots of people to hang out with.
3) The South by South West party on Monday night is still going ahead.


And obviously we are planning the reschedule and we will give you details as soon as we have them.


We are very very sorry for the inconvenience. We will do our utmost to make sure that you get the most out of your involvement with VWF and keep you informed as regularly as we can.
